JOB DESCRIPTION
To further execute our plan, Fundrbird is looking for an ambitious and experienced senior PHP developer to help shape the direction of our next-level technology offering. You will use your broad experience and technical knowledge to build and maintain the best-in-class software. This role requires an active, experienced individual that wants to produce high-quality code whilst institutionalizing best practices together with a talented team of developers. Your team in Wroclaw collaborates closely with the product team in Amsterdam.
Our SaaS platform is seen as one of the best in the Venture Capital industry and we attach a big part of our success to our hardworking team of engineers. We are scaling fast and have big plans to become the number one investor reporting solution for Venture Capital funds around the world. This is why we are looking for an exceptional engineer that would like to grow with us.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Being part of backend engineers building services written in PHP7.4, in the short future we will upgrade to PHP8.
Design, build and maintain scalable and highly available services - Participate in software design meetings and analyse user needs to determine technical requirements
- Collaborate with product managers, product designers and QA engineers during product exploration to give context on feasibility.
- Share your knowledge and experience with other engineers.
- Contribute to documentation where required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- You have at least 3 years in PHP7 development. You know its strengths and weaknesses.
- You are experienced in PHP and frameworks like Symfony or Zend.
- You have worked with RESTful APIs.
- You know words like: DDD, TDD, CQRS, CRUD, SOLID, KISS, NoSQL even better if you were using it professionally before. Also you know when to use CQRS over CRUD.
- You know how to test your code, also you know the difference between unit test and functional testing.
- You are a team player - we like to discuss how to resolve problems before we start working with it. You are comfortable defending your ideas or challenging others.
- Critical thinking and problem solving attitude
- Part of the team is from Amsterdam so fluent english is a must
OPTIONAL SKILLS WE APPRECIATE:
- Experience in frontend stack: react or angular
Experience in Docker, AWS, microservices - You have background or interest in financial or mathematics
- You have a strong understanding of MySQL and SQL optimization
- Experience with SaaS applications development
