About our company

We are an international company with over 10 years of experience in leading airline booking websites in Central Europe: Vola.ro, the leader of the Romanian market, and Fru.pl on the Polish market. Our company is customer-centric, data-driven, and constantly looking to provide additional value to our customers.

About our team

The IT team consists of 35-40 people and we are actively looking for 2 new front-end developers who will join us. From the technology point of view, we are split into three areas: Java, PHP, and JavaScript. We are using Java for something that we are calling "data acquisition" and “fulfillment” (the whole communication with our data providers), PHP is responsible for the payment processing, orders, users, business logic, and other services. JavaScript handles the front-end part.

We are working in the Kanban methodology, and most of the developers work remotely.

We are using Jira, Bitbucket, and Bitbukcet Pipelines. Our services are deployed in the Google Cloud, we are using docker and K8S.

Our developers are not responsible for any server maintenance, we have a separate DevOps team that maintains our infrastructure and helps with the automation.

We have daily meetings (currently at 9:30 AM CET) where we discuss our goals/blockers etc. We have also other "agile meetings" :)

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a talented and self-motivated JavaScript front-end developer to join our development team.

This role includes a mix of a new project (greenfield development) and adding features and fixes to the existing codebase. 

The right candidate will have strong technical capabilities, and be organized and passionate about development. They should have at least 4 years of professional experience and the ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly. 

As a JavaScript Front-end Developer, you will work with a team of like-minded and talented engineers in a focused, not bureaucratic environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience with JavaScript ES6+.
• Experience with building mobile-first responsive user interfaces.
• Experience in building high-performing apps using one of the popular frameworks (Vue, React).
• Adept at building and maintaining cross-browser/device-compatible sites.
• Sense of aesthetics, pixel-perfect approach, strive for consistency both in UI/UX.
• Understanding of cross-browser support and performance best practices.
• Experience with GIT.
• Fluent in English.

Awesome but not a must

• Experience with building full-stack apps using Nuxt.
• Experience with CSS pre-processors.

Recruitment process

The entire recruitment process is carried out remotely. Selected candidates will get the link to a website where they can book an appointment for an interview. In most cases, there is only one video call which takes around 1,5h. The call is led by the CTO and one of our tech leaders. We decide within a maximum of 10 days after the interview call.

Location

Our offices are located in Warsaw, Krakow, and Bucharest. We accept fully remote work, partially remote work, or work in the office :).
