About our company
We are an international company with over 10 years of experience in leading airline booking websites in Central Europe: Vola.ro, the leader of the Romanian market, and Fru.pl on the Polish market. Our company is customer-centric, data-driven, and constantly looking to provide additional value to our customers.
About our team
The IT team consists of 25 people and we are actively looking for 4-6 new members (developers, QAs and DevOps'). From the technology point of view, we are split into three areas: PHP, Java, and JavaScript. We are using Java for something that we are calling "data acquisition" and “fulfillment” (the whole communication with our data providers), PHP is responsible for the payments processing, orders, users, business logic, and other services.
We are working in the Kanban methodology, most of the developers work remotely.
We are using Jira, Bitbucket, and Jenkins. Our services are deployed in the Google Cloud, we are using docker and K8S.
Our developers are not responsible for any server maintenance, we have a separate DevOps team who is maintaining our infrastructure and helping with the automation (we are using Jenkins).
We have daily meetings (currently at 9:30 AM CET) where we discuss our goals/blockers etc. We have also other "agile meetings" :)
Job Responsibilities
We are looking for a talented and self-motivated Java back-end developer to join our development team.
This role includes a mix of a new project (greenfield development, microservices) and adding features and fixes to the existing codebase.
The right candidate will have strong technical capabilities, and be organized and passionate about development. They should have at least 3 years of professional experience and the ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies.

- 10% Bug fixing
- 10% Meetings (standups, devs' tech meetings, planning)
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3 years of experience with Java
- Experience with SQL and/or no-SQL databases
- Experience with git
- Experience in designing, building, and using REST APIs
- Knowledge of design patterns
Awesome but not a must
- Experience in an event-driven microservice architecture
- Experience with the SpringBoot framework
- Experience in reactive programming

The entire recruitment process is carried out remotely. Selected candidates will get the link to a website where they can book an appointment for an interview. In most cases, there is only one video call which takes around 1,5h. The call is led by the CTO and one of our tech leaders. We make a decision within a maximum of 5 days after the interview call.
