Our Shared Service Center in Wroclaw has existed since August 2014 and brings together accountants working for 16 European markets. There are already 200 of us, but we are still growing and expanding our scope of operations.

This is how your responsibilities would look like: 💻

• Act as a first contact point for global process owners and project managers on data protection related topics
• Advice, guide and support project managers on the necessity, the design and implementation of data protection requirements and the data protection processes that need to be followed
• Support and drive the execution of data protection risk and control assessments including any impact assessments for all E2E/GBS processes as executed in the various Shared Service Centers
• Coordinate maintenance of the Registry of Processing Activities
• Be part of the global data protection team and assist in further developing the data protection management system
• Raise and keep awareness to GBS staff on data protection
• Ensure data protection is included in the wider strategic initiatives to support and drive standardization and reuse of solutions and data
• Conduct/support data protection assessments for global solution deployments and global processing activities
• Communicate and align with local entities around the world on necessary measure and controls to be included in the SCC processes
• Collaborate with IT security on security assessments
• Support in vendor due diligence and solution selection
• Advice on data protection topics in the process design and implementation, including the IT architecture and configuration of databases, functionality, interfaces, authorization, retention, and deletion concepts within projects and across the organization (privacy by design and default)
• Support the creation of work instructions and standard operating procedures, contracts regarding data protection clauses, data protection agreements, SLAs and data protection statements for projects
• Initiate and update documentations for the registry of processing activities
• Provide training on data protection to GBS staff

We also need to have some requirements, so here they are: 📚

• At least 5 years of experience in data protection
• Experience with Shared Services in a global setting
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer sciences, business sciences, law or similar
• Solid understanding of European data protection laws and regulations and associated legal areas and its implications on IT architectures and applications
• Understanding of other legal frameworks (e.g., Chinese and India)
• Process knowledge, specifically in accounting, controlling and reconciliation
• Understanding of IT and its application in a business context, including cloud solutions, SAP GL, FI-AP, FI-AR and Concur
• Sound knowledge and understanding of privacy by design and privacy by default concepts for process design
• IT projects and project management
• Fluent in English, both in written and spoken
