Responsibilities
- Work on the scalability and performance of our platform.
- Maintain ownership and responsibility of mission-critical systems.
- Get involved with full-stack engineering and guide server, client, and infrastructure technical staff to the best solution.
- Directly manage between 5 and 10 technology professionals and be responsible for their performance at the company.
- Working closely with the Chief Technology Officer to set technology vision and strategy for FlipFit application
- Developing and running strategic projects that have a widespread impact on the organization
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Management Systems, or related field required. Masters preferred.
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience of managing engineering teams & projects at large scale, 8+ years of experience in software engineering (backend technologies preferably)
- Experience in managing large development teams (at least 25+)
- Ability to communicate efficiently both with business and development
- Good knowledge of mobile platforms (iOS, Android)
- Extremely proficient with TypeScript
- Very good knowledge of at least one lower-level programming knowledge (Go, Rust, C++, etc.)
- Great experience in systems architecture – especially with complex, scalable and fault-tolerant distributed systems
- Very good knowledge of SQL and various NoSQL Databases (Mongo, Cassandra, Neo4J, etc.)
- Expertise in all aspects of Software Development Lifecycle, such as planning, design, ensuring scalability and security, CI/CD and DevOps processes, automated testing, refactoring.
- Very strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
- Adaptability, because we often change as a result of seeking the best ways to act and find best suiting ideas
- Good product focus and a business mindset is a must-have
- Participating in a type of start-up project, working on one product
- Passion for technology and commitment to continuous learning
- Fluent English is a must
