Job description
Flip is a complex social platform developed at a great scale with service-oriented architecture.
We’ve created a code ecosystem with over 50 auto-scalable microservices behind the API gateway integrated with a unified logging layer and common monitoring.
We have more than 50 microservices which we have created in accordance with microservices best practices. Those homogeneous Node.js microservices rely on the Nest framework. Such an approach allows us to build a microservice that is production-ready in 15 minutes.
What is more, we use HA/HPA systems which are scalable depending on the user traffic. When it comes to databases, our go-to solutions are MongoDB, Scylla, and SQL.
Your role and responsibilities:
- developing and continuously improving our Infrastructure
- setting up mechanisms for various platform elements
- measuring and optimising architecture qualities
- participating in team calls and actively sharing your ideas accordingly to scrumban methodology
- working on one product: the Flip mobile app
Our tech stack:
- MongoDB as our main database also we use: AWS RDS / ScyllaDB
- development RabbitMQ / Kafka
- microservices based on K8s
- monitoring & APM on DataDog
- we gather logs by ELK Kibana
- we have CI/CD system based on GitLab
- Infrastructure as a Code - Terraform & Ansible
