Our dream Data Science (ML) Engineer at Flip in the role is responsible for the entire end to end process of data exploration, development, implementation, and maintenance of business-changing models and algorithms.
Your roles and responsibilities:
- understanding company products,
- working closely with engineers, product managers and testers to define problems, prototype interactions, and launch new features,
- co-creation and development of the product vision, and at the same time vision of the development of the entire company,
- building recommenders for users based on algorithms,
- using research methods to uncover user’s needs and refining the product requirements,
- communicating research findings across the team,
- facilitating polite and transparent communication with all team members,
- embracing the fast-paced and ambiguous nature of the startup to solve real problems.
To join us we require:
- at least 3 years' practical experience in Data Engineering (developing AI solutions and ML models),
- expertise with modern AI & machine learning tools (e.g. R, Python, Scikit learn, spark, Tensorflow, GPU computing),
- experience with productizing ML solutions in Cloud environments,
- experience in scripting for automation with Python,
- experience working with relational and unstructured data (for example MongoDB),
- excellent communication skills, a continuous improvement mindset,
- excellent English skills (min. B2 level).
Nice to have:
- previous experience in building algorithms for e-commerce or social media platforms,
- experience working in a start-up environment,
- demonstrated track record of success in building products based on consumer needs and research,
- experience with applying ML solutions in cloud environments,
- experience with supervised online learning workflows,
- experience with computer vision/image recognition.
