About the role:

We are looking for an experienced, not afraid of challenges, Java Developer with DevOps attitude who is ready to take a step further in his/her career and join our team as an IT Architect.

In our project, you will help design the foundation for how our global fintech platforms perform and scale. Your expertise will influence selecting, operating, and administering systems and software for our environment that supports vital business processes.

About the team:

As technical architect you will join the project team to be the technical decision maker and being informal leader and reviewer of developers work. You will influence project decisions that should be inline with FIS company and product design strategy. You will have direct connection with other IT Architects working for other projects/clients and can validate your decisions there or share uncommon/interesting issues found.

What you will be doing:

• being technical leader for the project (you are not team leader of Devs, but rather mentor and decision maker)
• being with contact with Client to discuss and support their problems
• defining and maintaining a library of functional component models for FIS product lines
• documenting technical solutions and reasons for decisions
• maintaining a catalog of reusable functional application components relevant to applications and product lines
• reviewing functional and technical designs to identify areas of risk and/or missing requirements
• acting as tiebreaker on design decisions

What you will need:

Must have:

• 10+ years of experience as a Java Developer Enterprise Edition (EJB, JPA, etc…)
• expertise with Cloud (Kubernetes, Docker)
• JEE application servers knowledge preferable OpenLiberty
• databases (Oracle, Postgress)
• Unix scripting
• basic knowledge of Architect role tasks
• expertise with end-to-end systems development life cycles and a background leading large projects
• experience in Client-facing
• proficiency in solutions design and requirements definition disciplines leveraging model-driven design-based tools and techniques
• not afraid of challenges and taking ownership of problems

Nice to have:

• knowledge of OPF (Open Payment Framework)
