We are looking for an experienced SDET to build a versatile system for testing our products in various environments automatically.
One of the main goals for this position is to create and maintain an automated tool/system for testing our
javascript agent library in all modern browsers and several recent versions of them. We would like to be sure that new browser releases and new JS agent releases don’t break existing functionality.
As a next step in developing this tool, we’ll modernize it to include backend APIs in the testing scope, going from a tool that only tests one product to a tool that tests how multiple products work together.
The candidate will:
- Work closely with TypeScript, Golang and Infrastructure engineers.
- Build a system to test different versions of TypeScript libraries in different browsers and devices automatically
- Integrate the system with our OSS and proprietary TypeScript projects
- You won’t be required to write test cases for these projects, you’ll interact with it more like with a black box.
- Maintain the OSS GitHub repositories that host your code.
Skills and experience:
- Proven experience of QA automation
- Browser automation with Selenium or a similar tool
- Cross-browser testing with BrowserStack, Sauce Labs or a similar service
- JavaScript experience required to build the testing system. TypeScript and Golang are a plus
- Web platform understanding (the basics of HTTP, browser security, and privacy)
- GitHub Actions
- A high level of personal ownership and autonomy, which requires experience working without clearly defined requirements
Our stack:
- Backend: Golang, TypeScript, Node, Express.
- Frontend: TypeScript, React, Storybook.
- AWS (DynamoDB, ElasticCache (Redis), Elastic Beanstalk, RDS/Aurora, etc).
- Netlify/CloudFront.
Offers vary depending on, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, certifications/licenses, skills, training, and market conditions.
