You will report to our VP of Data.
Main responsibilities:
- Manage and evolve a performant data infrastructure
- Write code that forms a data processing pipeline that gathers and cleans data from multiple sources (e.g. clickstream logs)
- Manage cloud-based AWS Data Lake used by business analysts and data scientists in their daily work
- Take ownership and partner with stakeholders to architect and build out new data pipelines and data warehouse
- Monitor the data quality and the data availability to give confidence in our numbers
- Partner with Data Science to industrialize their prototypes and models
- Work with Software Engineering to feed data services and other products
You are…
- Experience as a Data Engineer or related
- Bachelor or master in the field of Computer Science or related (Data Science/Maths/Econometrics or similar...)
- Interest in the entertainment industry
- Fluent in Polish and English (both written and verbal)
- Proficiency in Python and SQL
- Experience working on Cloud platforms, preferably AWS
- Knowledge of Hadoop stack (ideally AWS ElasticMapReduce)
- Familiar with Java, PHP and JS
Bonus points if…
- Experience of collaboration with, or mentoring of, data scientists or ML engineers. Ideally in the area of deployment and monitoring ML models on production
- Proficiency in writing Apache Spark code, in Scala or in Python
- Experience with DevOps/DataOps (e.g. Docker + Kubernetes, Apache Airflow, Jenkins + CI/CD for Data Engineering pipelines)
