Tivoli Monitoring Engineer

Tasks:

• Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Tivoli Monitoring components, including TEPS, TEMS, and TEPS DB
• Manage and support Tivoli LFA Agent, ITCAM MQ Agent, ITCAM for DataPower, Websphere Message Broker Agent, and UNIX OS Monitoring Agent
• Plan and execute major product version upgrades for Tivoli Monitoring
• Lead the migration of Tivoli or other monitoring tools to ensure seamless transitions and minimal downtime
• Configure monitoring agents and set up alerts to ensure timely detection and resolution of system issues
• Customize monitoring solutions to meet specific business needs and performance requirements
• Integrate Tivoli Monitoring with ServiceNow for streamlined incident management and automated workflows
• Develop and implement automation scripts to enhance monitoring efficiency and reduce manual intervention
• Continuously monitor system performance and health using Tivoli Monitoring tools
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks to ensure optimal system operation
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of monitoring configurations, procedures, and system changes
• Generate regular reports on system performance, incidents, and resolutions for management review
• Work closely with IT teams to provide support and troubleshooting for monitoring-related issues
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand monitoring requirements and deliver effective solutions
• Provide training and guidance to team members on Tivoli Monitoring best practices and usage
• Stay updated with the latest developments in monitoring technologies and share knowledge with the team

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience with Tivoli Monitoring
• TEPS/TEMS/TEPS DB
• Tivoli LFA Agent
• ITCAM MQ Agent
• ITCAM for DataPower
• Websphere Message Broker Agent
• UNIX OS Monitoring Agent
• Netcool/OMNIbus
• Experience of installing & configuring Tivoli Monitoring
• Experience of performing major product version upgrades
• Experience in configuring agents and alerts
• Experience of configuring integration with Service Now
• Experience in migration of Tivoli or any other monitoring tool
