Job Tasks:

In this role you will support, certify, and document storage and backup infrastructure, as well as serve as a Level 2 escalation point for existing infrastructure.

• Responsible for the ongoing maintenance, security, and availability of Storage and SAN infrastructure based on business requirements and adhering to tight operations, security, and procedural models.
• Responsible for automation of infrastructure tasks to reduce repetitive or time-consuming processes, utilizing SRE principles and practices and an infrastructure as code methodology.
• Responsible for complex provisioning, advanced maintenance, data replication, disaster recovery, data migration and documentation for our Open Systems Storage and Backup environments.
• Demonstrating a high level of technical expertise to support complex Storage & Backup devices, including SAN, NAS and Backup solutions across all tiers, under minimal supervision.
• Be scheduled On-Call to support the infrastructure and systems.
• Willingness to work on shift days (Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday from 9:00AM to 6:00PM local time).

Requirements:

• Minimum of 6 months of work experience or a Bachelor's Degre.
• Preferred 2 or more years of work experience.
• Experience of working in an infrastructure support role and/or a keen interest in learning the role of an infrastructure support engineer in the storage realm.
• An interest in scripting / coding for infrastructure automation.
• Experience with UNIX (Linux, AIX, Solaris), VMware or other hypervisors, and Windows operating environments.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong inter-personal skills.
• Strong ability to self-learn new storage technologies.
• Monitoring, Tuning, Troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Strong organization and analysis skills.
• Strong focus on quality and customer service.
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize work.
• Strong analytical and practical problem solving skills.
