We're looking for an experienced and skilled Snowflake Lead / Architect. You should have at least 5-6 years of data warehousing and relational database experience with a strong programming background in SQL, Shell Scripting, and Python.

You'll be responsible for managing multiple Snowflake accounts, setting up appropriate resource monitors and leading of Snowflake-based data warehousing solutions.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Snowflake-based data warehousing solutions
  • Manage multiple Snowflake accounts across multiple cloud providers, including setting up appropriate access controls, resource monitors, and warehouses
  • Utilize knowledge of Snowflake best practices to ensure Role Based Access Control and appropriate access patterns
  • Set up and manage Snowflake Secure Data Share, Data Consumers, and Partner Connect to ensure secure and efficient data sharing
  • Create and manage replicated databases, as well as demonstrate database replication and failover/failback procedures
  • Implement improvements in Snowflake's public and private preview features, and communicate these improvements to all relevant stakeholders
  • Use programming skills in SQL, Shell Scripting, and Python to develop and maintain data models, pipelines, and integrations
  • Leverage knowledge of AWS and cloud technologies to develop and maintain data warehousing solutions
  • Lead cross-functional or delivery teams, providing supervision and guidance to ensure successful project completion
  • Collaborate with senior internal and external personnel to identify and address complex data-related problems
  • Optimize Snowflake-based solutions
  • Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders
  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure deliverables are met
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring successful completion of all projects

Requirements:

  • minimum of 5-6 years of experience in data warehousing and relational databases (Snowflake, Oracle, or PostgreSQL)
  • minimum of 2 years supervisory experience or cross-functional or delivery team lead experience
  • Strong programming skills in SQL, Shell Scripting, and Python
  • Experience in AWS and Cloud Technologies in General with Knowledge of data warehousing concepts
  • Understanding Snowflake Usage, Manage Warehouses and setting appropriate resource monitors
  • Best practices regarding Snowflake Roles setup, Role Based Access Control and access patterns
  • Demonstrated problem solver with the ability to provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex data-related problems
  • Knowledge of project and system development methodologies, especially Agile
  • Knowledge of operating systems, relational database architectures, query languages and interface, standard programming environments, data integration tools, application integration solutions, and web-based information solutions
  • Excellent written and oral communication skill at all levels
  • A Bachelors’ or Masters’ degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field required
