Mainframe Administrator (IIB)

Tasks:

• Configure SMPE environment for IIB installation and running SMPE command’s like apply, accept etc.
• Rollout of new versions and fixpack levels
• Creating and maintain zFS filesystems for IIB. (BPXPRM updates on SYS1.PARMLIB excluded)
• Ordering of necessary TCP/IP configuration for IIB components
• IP port configuration in IIB, various IP listeners exists booth on integration node and integration server level for different purposes
• Ordering/managing of RACF/security rules for IIB
• Adding/removing IIB userid accounts, they are mapped to RACF users and there access rights
• General IIB configuration, more or less what are done from the component dataset for example maintain BIPPROF etc
• OPC batchjob’s that run for maintenance purposes, for example SMF accounting, backup’s, cleanups etc
• Creating and configuration of Integration servers
• Management of configurable services and the security identities used by the services. Following types are used:
• JDBC Providers
• Connect direct
• FTPServers
• Policysets
• Policysetbindings
• SMTP
• SecurityProfiles
• Certificate management
• ODBC configuration against DB2
• Reporting and working with cases against IBM, including collecting material like traces etc.
• Configuration and management of global cache. ( This is our most troublesome area so good skills in this area really good)
• Some user support against our developers
• Problem investigation/solving
• MQ definitions (we are having the role of booth MQ Admins and IIB Admins)

Requirements:

Must have:

• 3+ years of experience in IBM Integration BUS on z/OS (IIB on z/OS) support and administration
• 3+ years of experience in MQ middleware on z/OS support and administration
• Strong understanding of middleware architecture and design
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• 3+ years of experience on z/OS environment
• Rollout of new versions and fixpack levels
• IP port configuration in IIB
• Creating and configuration of Integration servers
• Management of configurable services and the security identities used by the services
• Configuration and management of global cache

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of SMPE service appliance
• Ability to write REXX scripts
• Usage of TSO/ISPF/SDSF on advance level
• IBM MQ certification preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
