Data Science Analyst is an advanced technical professional role responsible for exploring and analysing data across the enterprise and presenting information and key insights that support the organization's strategies.

The role promotes shared infrastructure and applications to reduce costs and improve information flows, and it ensures that new technology solutions do not duplicate functionality or diverge from each other and business and IT strategies.

Main responsibilities:

• Data Modeling & Analysis & Wrangling:
• Continuously updates machine learning models and revises algorithms to constantly improve the accuracy of analysis
• Constantly reviews with stakeholders for better insights
• Works with large volumes of data; extracts and manipulates large datasets using standard tools such as Python, Hadoop, R, SQL, Spark, etc.
• Communicates data patterns identified in both internal and external data using various wrangling techniques
• Helps in data discovery and evolving use cases to identify prediction / prescriptive solutions

• Data Management / Architecture / Design:
• Understands and develops data sources and data architectures to address business requirements and to ensure scalability, reliability, security and performance
• Understands innovation in the space of Big Data by exploring, investigating, recommending, benchmarking and implementing data centric technologies, Hadoop / YARN Eco System
• Investigates alternative solutions to identify the most optimized way to collect both structured and unstructured data
• Works with specific application engineering teams to understand their requirements around data integration, processing and consumption, and implement solutions to those into a central Big Data Platform

• Solution Design:
• Participates in brainstorming sessions to identify opportunities and understand various internal / external factors that can impact the analysis
• Takes direction to translate business needs for information and knowledge into long – term data science solutions that add value to the organization
• Applies knowledge in design, development, implementation and management of data sources

• Visualization:
• Works on delivering insights from data by developing visualizations
• Designs, develops, and provides implementation of compelling data visualizations, dashboards, tools and utilities using Open Source technologies (Java / J2EE, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Spring, JQuery, D3, React.js, etc.)
• Analyses techniques to organize data in visually innovative ways in order to make it easy to understand to the stakeholders and technical folks at the same time

• Documentation:
• Ensures documentation is complete, accurate, current and stored appropriately for the solutions
• Ensures appropriate knowledge transfer is done with other team members

• Testing & Test Design:
• Tests the models and their applicability to the problem that is being solved for
• Tracks success rates of models and communicates with the team

• Stakeholder Management:
• Manages stakeholder expectations and communications within the area of delivery
• Understands business environment well enough to identify and include correct stakeholders
• Interacts regularly with stakeholders and engages them in current solutions, results and evolving models in ensuring results are fine – tuned constantly
• Participates in opportunities, solutions, models and results to solicit additional feedback and streamline / operationalize the models

• Vendor Management:
• Ensures vendor resources have appropriate workspace, system access and tools
• Manages / leads individual consulting resources as assigned
• Conducts limited – scope vendor negotiations
• Provides status against plans and escalates issues

Main requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in systems design, integration and performance analysis 
• Strong understanding of Machine Learning techniques and algorithms
• Understanding of innovation in Big Data, including experience with exploring, investigating, recommending and implementing data – centric technologies 
• Knowledge of tools and technologies related to Data Lake
• In-depth knowledge in multiple technical environments (ideally in the security area)
• Experience in designing, developing, and implementing compelling data visualizations, dashboards, tools, and utilities using Open Source technologies
• Bachelor's in Data Science, Computer Science or Machine Learning
• English – C1
