Android Developer

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience software engineering with Java or Kotlin
• Understanding and interest in software quality and testing best practices
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ideal: Experience with Android app development

Responsibilities:



• Make Android robust across all device manufacturers by creating compatibility (unit/integration) tests that enforce how Android devices should behave in a range of scenarios
• Expand the Bedstead SDK (Java/Kotlin) to make it as easy-as-possible for any Android developer to write readable tests
• Create developer-facing APIs to configure Android devices into a range of complex states for any given test, solving for performance and stability. Designing for both SDK power and developer ease-of-use makes for interesting technical problems
• Write documentation and tutorials for the Bedstead SDK
• Triage, debug, and fix issues in both the compatibility test suite and the Bedstead SDK
