Cloud Engineer (GCP)

Tasks:

• Plan, design, and configure cloud solutions based on business requirements
• Deploy and manage resources on GCP
• Operate and maintain cloud services effectively
• Host applications using various GCP services
• Monitor application performance, logs, and metrics
• Understand build pipelines and version control systems
• Implement security best practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly
• Diagnose performance bottlenecks and errors
• Continuously improve and refactor codebase for efficiency and maintainability

Requirements: 

• Some experience with GCP infrastructure
• Plan, Configure, Deploy and Operate a cloud solution
• Experience hosting an application on GCP using Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud SQL, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud Storage
• Experience with Docker and orchestration
• Networking principles and protocols such as IP subnetting, routing, firewall rules, Virtual Private Cloud, LoadBalancer, Cloud DNS, Cloud CDN, etc.
• Knowledge of Application Monitoring
• Prior experience with build management and CI/CD tools, and monitoring tools
• Experience with infrastructure configuration management tools
• Configure Cloud resources access and security
• Able to debug, diagnose, and resolve production issues
• Experience with Linux command-line and system administration basics
• Attention to detail
• Focus on continuous improvement, refinement, and refactoring the code base
