Azure Data Engineer

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

• There is a need for the person for the first 2-3 months to work at least a few days per month on-site on Client premises in Bruselles. The rest working days would he remote work from home
• Candidate should be located in Poland
• We are looking for the candidates who can start from 15-30 days

Tasks:

• Configure, and manage Azure Synapse Analytics , Azure Synapse workspaces, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Data Lake Storage solutions
• Monitor the health, performance, and scalability of Synapse Analytics services
• Monitor and manage data integration solutions using Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Factory Data Flows, or other ETL tools
• Administer user access, roles, and permissions within Azure Synapse to ensure data security and compliance with organizational policies
• Optimize query performance, data storage, and resource utilization in Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure SQL Database
• Backup and recovery of synapse databases, ADLS
• Implement and enforce data security measures and access controls in compliance with industry regulations and company policies
• Maintain data encryption, authentication, and auditing mechanisms
• Manage user access and permissions to ensure data security and compliance with organizational policies
• Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Azure Resource Manager templates or Terraform to provision and manage Azure resources
• Set up monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively identify and resolve issues
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and data-related problems in a timely manner
• Create and maintain documentation for architecture, configurations, and best practices
• Ensure adherence to Azure architecture and cloud computing best practices
• Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and company-specific data policies
• Good understanding of the ITSM concepts and detailed hands-on work experience on the Transition, Production support activities
• Maintain documentation on Power BI processes, configurations, and best practices

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Strong expertise in Azure cloud services, including Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Data Lake Storage
• Experience in data warehousing, ETL, and data integration
• Proficiency in SQL, T-SQL, and data modeling
• Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and security practices
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines is a plus
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Azure certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer or similar are beneficial
• An Azure Platform Engineer with expertise in Synapse, Managed SQL, and ADLS plays a critical role in ensuring the availability, performance, and security of an organization's data solutions in the Azure cloud environment. They work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement data solutions that support data-driven decision-making and business objectives
• Experience working with infrastructure as code technologies such as Terraform
• Experience in Infrastructure provisioning, monitoring and Ops
• Good knowledge of ITIL process
