For our client, global technology company, we realize a recruitment process on the position BI Developer to the long-term project.
Information about the project / technologies:
- Work with Business Intelligence solutions.
- Dashboards using Qlik Sense and Qlik Nprinting
- Technologies: MS BI solution (SQL, SSIS, SSAS, MDX, REST), MS Excel, VB, PowerShell, Data Warehouse architecture
Main responsibilities:
- Defines the technical Business Intelligence solutions.
- Supports validation and prioritization of incoming business demand in collaboration with the relevant IS Service Manager and/or Solution Architect.
- Review and sign off the functional and technical use case specifications.
- Design and develop connectors, data flows, data models, Dashboards using Qlik Sense and Qlik Nprinting
- Review query performance and optimizing code.
- Ensures manuals for users are created to describe the operating procedures.
- Resolve user(s) questions as 3nd and 4rd level as extension to incident management in cases where Service Desk competence is not enough
- Contributes to Problem and Incident Management to fight ticket volume by detecting re-occurring defects and eliminating these. Proactively supports issue resolution during project delivery to avoid delays or any other form of negative impact to a project or service.
- Supplies the Service Manager(s) with relevant stakeholder information related to solution/services. When required works together with relevant stakeholders
- Collaborates with users in projects and problem management to maintain, develop and deploy the best feasible and most cost-efficient BI solutions for the R&D.
An ideal candidate profile:
- Good command of spoken and written English
- Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline or equivalent experience
- 3 years of expertise in the following areas: o Practical knowledge of development using Qlik Sense
- Practical knowledge of development using Qlik Nprinting
- Practical knowledge of MSSQL
- Practical knowledge of MS BI solution (SQL, SSIS, SSAS, MDX, REST)
- Practical knowledge of Data Warehouse architecture
- Practical knowledge of MS Excel, VB, PowerShell
- Thorough knowledge of Project Management metrics / KPIs is a plus
- Experience in problem solving
- Strong cultural awareness, work will with different cultures
Nice to have:
- Thorough knowledge of Software Development methodologies (e.g. Agile / DevOps) is a plus
- Thorough knowledge of IT service management concepts (ITIL) is a plus
