For our client, global IT company, we realize a recruitment process on the position BI Technical Consultant

Project details:

The role is to ensure a strong bridge between Business Datawarehouse and PowerBI premium products where users can use validated data to be consumed in Power BI. There is a need to have strong operational experience with PowerBI to ensure BI infrastructure runs smoothly. Besides the role is to ensure proper processes - BI Ways of Working and the ways of consuming data via PowerBI.

Main Responsibilities:

• Ensuring a link between Business Data Warehouse based on Snowflake and AWS Datahub and PowerBI Premium
• Creating custom forms and automated workflows between Snowflake and Power BI in Power Apps for use cases
• Serving as an operational super-user in PowerBI, ensuring infrastructure runs smoothly
• Close cooperation with Regional BI Leads and Data Warehouse teams to ensure data are accessible and understandable
• Ensuring correct usage of Power Query, DAX and SQL to ETL data from various sources into PowerBI
• Ensuring data integrity by implementing QA practices and set rules for managing metrics and KPIs in PowerBI Premium layer
• Updating and maintaining BI Ways of Working, providing guidance for users regarding to how to consume data
• Conducting regular system audits and upgrades if necessary
• Training and supporting staff in using PowerBI and other BI tools effectively
• Being up to date with industry trends and technologies to ensuring that BI solutions remain current

An ideal candidate profile:

• Higher level of education - Information Technologies or similar are preferred
• Hands-on experience with acting as BI Manager or similar role and at least 2-4 years of experience as BI Developer
• Hands-on experience with with PowerBI dashboards including Power BI Premium
• Fluency in the following tech/tools: Power Query, SQL, DAX
• Very well developed communication skills while working with the stakeholders, translating business needs into PowerBI requirements
• Providing trainings for the other teams to share knowledge regarding to PowerBI

• Practical knowledge of Snowflake and Power Apps
