In the context of a Public Sector project environment, we are looking for an experienced Solution Architect capable to understand the functional and business needs of the client and translate this into functional/technical requirements and specifications. The main area of work is linked to development of a middleware platform mixing custom microservices development and integration of existing opensource solutions.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Leading multi-specialist projects, building further on your market, business and technical overview and practical experience.
- Integrating opensource products and solutions in the architecture like API Gateway (Spring Cloud), API Management, Microservices (Spring Boot), Containers (Kubernetes), Message Broker (Kafka).
- Assure specification and design work to assist in the development of Service Level Agreements and any associated service guarantees.
- Leading all aspects of design activities for your assigned part of the architecture.
- Gathering and elaborating functional and technical requirements.
- Defining functional and technical specifications (architecture) fulfilling the requirements.
- Coordinating and validating the establishment and development of the architecture.
- Interacting and communicating with C-level executives, consortium partners, different stakeholders in a program.
- Convincing a customer of a particular solution.
- Taking part, in the definition of strategies based around Enterprise Architecture to drive business improvement, innovation, and/or make more effective use of IT.
- Taking initiative to develop tools, templates, and frameworks to secure successful models and improve our time-to-market.
- Building or identifying/selecting a solution in line with customer needs.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Higher Education - minimum bachelor’s level.
- Architecture Methodology & Modelling knowledge: TOGAF/ Archimate/ UML/ BPMN.
- Agile frameworks, DevOps & tools usage: SAFe/ scrum, Atlassian suite, Open-source DevOps.
- Experience with all security aspects in the design: Authentication, Autorisation, Auditing, Confidentiality, IAM.
- Experience in managing a development team, motivating and leading others towards their achievement. Ability to coach a team of senior developers.
- Experience with Large Scale IT platforms.
- Excellent English skills.
- Team player with strong leadership and negotiations skills.
