(Associate) CIAM Solution Expert

The EIB, the European Union's bank, is seeking to recruit for its Group Corporate Services Directorate (GCS) – Group Digital Office (GCS-GDO) – Cybersecurity Division (CD) – Access, Controls & Governance Unit (ACG) at its headquarters in Luxembourg, a (Associate) CIAM Solution Expert*. This is a full-time position at grade 4/5 for which the EIB offers permanent contract.

Panel interviews are anticipated in January 2024 internally referred to as (Associate) Engineer IT Technology & Infrastructure

Purpose

As a CIAM Solution Expert, you will have a pivotal role in innovating our approach to Identity and Access Management (IAM). This role is a blend of technical acumen and strategic approach. Your mission will be to implement cutting-edge CIAM tools and practices, improving our IAM capabilities.

In this crucial role, you will be the guardian of access rights, ensuring that the right individuals have secure and appropriate access to the EIB Group's critical data and information.

Operating Network

You will be reporting directly to the Head of Access, Controls & Governance Unit and work in close collaboration and maintain contacts on multiple levels across EIB Group, and all the lines of defence.

What will you do?

• Actively shape and manage our information security controls, focusing on robust Identity and Access Management (IAM) controls, architecture, and procedures
• Lead projects to improve the EIB Group’s IAM technology and tools. Drive the deployment of cutting-edge solutions like CIAM and IGA, ensuring our IAM systems are state-of-the-art
• Proactively enhance our IAM risk detection capabilities. Implement necessary technical and administrative controls, adapting to evolving IT standards and methodologies
• Analyze security weaknesses and propose both technical and procedural solutions. Work closely with Internal Audit and other stakeholders to address and mitigate identified vulnerabilities
• orge strong relationships across the EIB Group to align IAM strategies with business needs and risk appetites. Stay connected with industry developments by engaging with professional bodies and security experts
• Contribute to shaping IAM-related policies, guidelines, and procedures. Lead the continuous improvement of our IAM tools and technologies
• Maintain vigilance in Identity Management areas, playing a key role in incident resolution, including thorough post-mortem analysis
• Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, ensuring clear understanding and escalation of support issues

Qualifications

• University degree (minimum an equivalent to a Bachelor) preferably in information technology, telecommunication, risk management, business administration or security
• Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in managing Identity & Access Management solutions
• Understanding of security aspects and techniques related to access control, web application and operations
• Experience in system administration along with knowledge of management and support of information security & access management infrastructure
• Up-to-date knowledge of market trends and development in the Identity and Access Management sector
• Good IT technical knowledge in order to be able to collaborate with all other IT delivery teams
• General knowledge of EU GDPR (General Data Protection Legislation)
• Fluent in English and/or French and preferably a solid understanding of the other (**)

Unless stated explicitly as a required qualification, a good command of French is not a pre-requisite for hire. As both English and French are however official working languages of the EIB, proficiency in both languages is a pre-requisite for your future career development. Any language clause in your contract must be fulfilled in order for you to be eligible for a promotion (either via the annual appraisal cycle or via an internal selection process). Proficiency is understood to mean the attainment of level 5 of the Inter Institutional language courses, corresponding to B1.2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL). The Bank offers appropriate training support.
