Data Analyst/ Power BI Developer

Division: Group Digital Capabilities (GDC)

The Business Intelligence Center of Expertise (BI CoE) seats within the GDC Tribe AIR Analytics Insights & Reporting" (AIR) and s in charge of the development of Management, Regulatory and Client reports through Cognos and Power BI with a strong push to use Power BI (Cloud version).

The key skill required to work in the BI CoE is to be interested by both the business world and the IT world. For that reason, we are looking for a senior person with demonstrable experience on:

• How to develop reports using Power BI (Server and Cloud edition) and with Fabric
• Power BI administration
• Data Governance
• Data modelling and usage of semantic model
• Experience in the Banking sector is an asset

Role:

• Understanding and mapping out the requirements from the Business
• Be able to put a budget on the development needs and stick to it.
• Collecting, cleaning and pre-processing data from various sources (including our data platform)
• Working closely with multi-functional team and maximising your expertise in Power BI to build compelling visualisations and reports
• Design, optimizing and developing power BI reports and dashboards to meet business needs and requirements
• Working closing with collaborators to gather and understand data requirements, ensuring data accuracy and consistency
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues with PowerBI, redefining sophisticated datasets into insights
• Staying up to date with the latest Power BI Microsoft features (Server, Services, Fabric) and standard process to excel in this role.
• Design and develop the framework based on any dataset/semantic model or any database or files for Power BI
• Develop and ensure a full testing of the reports and dashboards requested by the users using UI/UX
• Prepare the deployments & installation instructions for the developments.
• Support the users in their development and usage of the Reporting tools.
• Handle Business Intelligence developments; based on your in-depth knowledge of both Business and Business Intelligence you will act as catalyst in order to identify pragmatic solutions.
• Identify the right balance between Cost and Quality/Completeness.

Qualifications:

• You have technical skills and a good business understanding/interest.
• You master Power BI and in particular the Cloud edition.
• You know all about programming languages SQL, Data Analysis Expressions (DAX)
• You can model data using Kimball, Dimensional modelling and Data Vault
• Good knowledge of Azure Synapse, Power Platform stacks
• Knowledge of Business Intelligence methodology and agile development methods such as SCRUM is clearly an asset.
• Service oriented and solution driven!

• Work on several tasks in parallel while sticking to deadlines set.
• Work independently as well as in team, you are willing to share knowledge with your colleagues.
• Communicate efficiently with all collaborators.
• Spoken and written English is a must!
• Meticulous in your work
