Principal Developers are at the heart of what we do as a business, driving their development teams forward through their technical expertise and talent development. You will be working within an Agile environment, part of a Scrum team utilising Continuous Integration and Behaviour Driven Development, and adopting DevOps practices. You'll lead from the front: wielding your development experience to help design and build industry-leading solutions, expressing your passion for technology in the way you move the product and department forward and always being on the lookout for chances to call your team on to greater things, both individually and as a unit. To support this, we dedicate 1 day per month to knowledge sharing, personal development and our communities of practice.

 

Business Function:

Equiniti is an established software provider that creates content within an Agile working environment and is looking for established leaders to help us enhance the Administrator platform.

Core duties/responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be able to work in an interactive team environment and thrive on not just building software but discussing and explaining it. You will have the kind of questioning mind that craves feedback in order to improve the great creations that you will build for us.
 
You won’t be satisfied to sit back and just get the work done. You will want to improve processes, tools and technologies. As a Principal Developer with us, you will want to further the skills of those around you and, of course, your own. You'll line manage other Developers, providing a structure within which to express your passion for helping them to improve. You'll also participate in and lead collaborative design sessions and our Architecture Forum. Furthermore, you’ll be able to play a key role in building up teams with new personnel as and when it’s required.
