Senior Python Engineer (Cloud)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Python Engineer with expertise in Cloud technologies to join a project for one of our key clients. As a Senior Engineer, you will design, develop, and deploy robust, scalable, and secure solutions leveraging Python and cloud platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to create innovative software systems that solve complex business problems and drive digital transformation.

This position offers a hybrid model of work, with 1-3 days per week working from the office located in Katowice.

Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions using Python for web applications, APIs, data pipelines, and automation tools
2. Architect, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions using platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
3. Develop scalable microservices and serverless applications using cloud-native tools and frameworks
4. Build and optimize data pipelines and workflows leveraging Python and cloud services like AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, or GCP Cloud Functions
5. Ensure system reliability and scalability through robust coding practices, automated testing, and effective monitoring
6. Collaborate with product, operations, and engineering teams to gather requirements, refine features, and design solutions
7. Implement CI/CD pipelines to streamline application deployment and delivery on cloud environments
8. Troubleshoot production issues and optimize performance across cloud environments
9. Stay current with Python development trends, cloud technologies, and emerging tools
10. Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and enforce best practices across the team to ensure quality standards

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
2. 5+ years of professional experience in Python development, including hands-on experience with libraries such as Django, Flask, FastAPI, or equivalent frameworks
3. Deep understanding of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including experience with services such as EC2, S3, IAM, Azure App Services, GCP Compute Engine, and others
4. Hands-on experience with cloud-native technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and serverless architectures
5. Proficiency in designing and developing RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services
6. Strong experience with database technologies, including relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and non-relational databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB)
7. Solid understanding of software development best practices, including Agile methodologies, Git-based version control, and unit testing
8. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or AWS CodePipeline
9. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges
10. Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a team-oriented environment
