Senior macOS Developer

As a Senior macOS Developer for the desktop team, you will be responsible for leading the development of the application's macOS version. You will work closely with the backend and web front-end teams to ensure seamless integration and deliver a high-quality product.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the macOS version of the application
• Collaborate with the backend and web front end teams to integrate APIs and ensure smooth functionality
• Optimize and enhance the performance of the application
• Identify and resolve bugs and technical issues
• Conduct code reviews and provide guidance to junior developers

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant professional experience
• Proficiency in Swift/Objective-C
• Familiarity with macOS-specific frameworks such as Cocoa and Cocoa Touch for building macOS applications. Understanding how to use these frameworks for user interface development, networking, data management, etc., is crucial
• Proficiency in Xcode, Apple's integrated development environment (IDE), and Interface Builder for designing user interfaces visually
• Understanding of version control systems like Git is essential for collaborative development and managing code changes effectively
• A basic understanding of user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design principles to create visually appealing and user-friendly macOS applications
• Ability to debug and optimize macOS applications for performance, memory usage, and battery consumption
• Understanding and adherence to Apple's HIG ensures that the application follows Apple's design principles and provides a consistent user experience across macOS devices
• Awareness of other Apple platforms like iOS, watchOS, and tvOS can be beneficial, especially if the application needs to be ported or integrated across multiple platforms
• Understanding of networking concepts and data management techniques for macOS applications that require internet connectivity or data storag
• Keeping up-to-date with the latest macOS developments, features, and best practices through documentation, online resources, and community forums is essential for staying competitive in the field
• Knowledge of testing methodologies and tools for macOS applications, including unit testing, UI testing, and integration testing, to ensure the reliability and quality of the software
• Understanding of the macOS app deployment process, including code signing, App Store submission guidelines, and distribution methods like Mac App Store, enterprise distribution, or direct download
• Awareness of security vulnerabilities and best practices for securing macOS applications, including data encryption, secure communication protocols, and permissions management
• B2+ English level proficiency
