Senior Full-Stack Developer (Java with React.js)

We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Developer (Java with React.js) to join our Banking Crew, part of a dynamic and agile technology organization delivering cutting-edge solutions across capital markets.

You’ll be working in a highly collaborative environment alongside autonomous but interconnected pods, focused on building world-class book building capabilities, both for internal users across the Client systems and as a benchmark in the industry.

This is a long-term, open-ended position for someone who values ownership, product impact, and continuous delivery. You will participate in frequent releases, contributing across the entire software development lifecycle: from technical analysis and system design to implementation, testing, and documentation.

You’ll be part of a globally distributed team, working closely with colleagues in Poland, Switzerland, India, the UK, and the US.

Responsibilities

• Full Stack Development in which you will work on both the client side (React) and the server side (Java) to ensure seamless integration

• Design, develop, and improve the digital products and technology services we provide to our clients and employees

• Apply a broad range of software engineering techniques, from analyzing user needs and developing new features to automated testing, CI/CD and other DevOps practices

• Ensure the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of our solutions by applying our digital principles and implementing both functional and non-functional requirements

• Build observability into our solutions, monitor production health, help to resolve incidents, and remediate the root cause of risks and issues

• Learn new technologies and practices, reuse strategic platforms and standards, evaluate options, and make decisions with long-term sustainability in mind

• Work in an agile way as part of multi-disciplinary teams, participate in agile ceremonies, and collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and others

• Understand, represent, and advocate for client needs

• Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues, help with hiring, and contribute regularly to our engineering culture and internal communities

Requirements

• Full Stack development with experience in using Java and experience with HTML5, CCS3, JavaScript (ES6+) and Open‐source libraries, tools and technologies

• Experience in Core Java and with good working knowledge of frameworks such as Spring Boot

• Good knowledge of modern frameworks like React and Node.js, npm, Jasmine

• Experience of one or more of the following open source technologies Redux, Webpack, d3, LESS

• Knowledge of containerisation tools (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)

• Familiarity with continuous integration deployment (CI/CD) pipelines

• Experience in developing microservices and RESTful services

• Expertise in generic computing science including OOP modelling (UML, SOLID etc.), algorithms, data structures, design patterns and Functional programming

• Experience with build tools like Maven, and development tools such as IntelliJ, Git, GitLab, JIRA, TeamCity, Nexus

• Clean coding and refactoring skills with excellent problem solving ability

• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases

• Fluency in automated testing techniques and frameworks

• Know-how of agile/lean development practices (Scrum, XP, Kanban, etc.)

• GitLab/ADO (Azure Dev Ops) - Infrastructure as code and application deployment

• Application and service monitoring in cloud

• Understanding of Apache Kafka
