Lead Technical Writer

We are seeking a remote Lead Technical Writer to join our team. We need API Governance Expert to join the API Program and lead API Design review, API Standards documentation, and automatization of such standards for business-critical APIs and other developer tools hosted on internal and external developer portals.

The right candidate will have demonstrated experience with API documentation in consumer and/or enterprise technology settings.

Responsibilities

• Produce concise, high-quality documentation that maximizes online visual spaces
• Write within established style guidelines with a strong focus on grammar and accuracy
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal and organizational skills with keen attention to detail
• Utilize proactiveness to ensure timely and effective documentation delivery
• Work collaboratively with teams using JIRA, Confluence, etc
• Utilize CLI tools, Git, and GitLab for documentation management
• Draft and maintain RESTful APIs using Contentstack
• Leverage knowledge of YAML and JSON for effective documentation

Requirements

• 6-8+ years of relevant experience 
• 3-5+ years of experience as a technical writer
• 1-2 years of experience working with JavaScript
• 0-1 years of experience with Contentstack
• Proficiency in writing technical documentation for BA artifacts
• Familiarity with REST API and Spectral
• Experience with Apigee for API management
• Strong knowledge of CLI tools and familiarity with Git and GitLab
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, etc
• Working knowledge of YAML and JSON
• Fluent in authoring API reference documents and developer guides that help empower others to create innovative new business applications
• Capable of crafting content that is as technically sound as it is clear and concise
• Attuned to the differences between POST, PATCH, and PUT methods in REST APIs
• Familiarity with Atlassian suite and Content Management Systems (CMS)
• B2+ English level proficiency

Nice to have

• Visual thinker who can create and maintain standards for technical diagrams and illustrations intended for API docs
• Accustomed to high-tech environments and working with cross-functional product development, management and design teams
• 0-1 years of experience working with Spectral
