Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Cloud Engineer specializing in virtualization to join our dynamic team. This role involves designing and implementing Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC) architectures, managing virtualization platforms, automating manual tasks, and resolving platform issues. You will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of private cloud environments, focusing on improving customer delivery and evaluating new technologies.

The cloud team consists of members from various departments, including infrastructure, networking, automation, storage, and end-user computing. The team works collaboratively from different locations, fostering a strong spirit of teamwork and innovation. The environment is dynamic and constantly evolving with new technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Implementation - Develop and implement Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC) architectures and manage virtualization platforms.
• Automation - Drive the automation of manual tasks to enhance efficiency and reliability.
• Troubleshooting - Diagnose and resolve issues related to virtualization platforms, with a focus on VMware SDDC and NSX-related problems.
• Proactively work on improving customer delivery and take ownership of incident and problem tickets, offering recommendations and solutions.
• Conduct evaluations for new technologies and assess their impact on the platform.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (relevant experience may substitute for formal education).
• Proficiency in virtualization technologies and experience with VMware SDDC, including design, development, and implementation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Experience with Software Defined Networking (SDN), particularly VMware NSX.
• Automation skills using PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, or other scripting languages.
• Network administration experience.

Nice to have :

• Relevant certifications such as VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV), VMware Certified Professional - Network Virtualization (VCP-NV), and Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
• Experience with Citrix NetScaler.
