SAP TM Consultant

Summary:

The primary objective of the SAP TM Consultant role is to support a significant transformation initiative within the Oil & Gas sector by implementing and managing SAP Transportation Management (TM) solutions.

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end SAP TM implementation projects, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and hypercare support.

• Conduct workshops and fit-gap analysis sessions with business stakeholders to understand transportation and logistics requirements.

• Design and configure SAP TM solutions aligned with business processes and industry best practices.

• Work closely with logistics, supply chain, procurement, operations, and finance teams to ensure seamless integration of transportation processes.

• Support transportation planning, freight management, carrier selection, freight settlement, and transportation execution processes.

• Configure and maintain transportation networks, freight agreements, charge management, planning profiles, and settlement processes.

• Collaborate with SAP functional teams including MM, SD, EWM, PP, and Finance to ensure end-to-end process integration.

• Develop functional specifications and support technical teams during custom development and integration activities.

• Manage SIT, UAT, defect resolution, cutover planning, and go-live activities.

• Provide expert guidance on transportation optimization and process improvement opportunities.

• Deliver user training, documentation, and knowledge transfer sessions.

• Support post-go-live activities and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders and project leadership throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 8+ years of SAP consulting experience with at least 5 years specializing in SAP Transportation Management (TM).

• Proven experience delivering multiple end-to-end SAP TM implementation projects.

• Strong hands-on SAP TM configuration experience.

• Extensive experience in transportation and logistics business processes.

• Mandatory experience working within the Oil & Gas industry.

• Strong understanding of Freight Planning, Transportation Execution, Freight Settlement, and Charge Management.

• Experience integrating SAP TM with SAP S/4HANA and related modules.

• Strong stakeholder management and client-facing consulting skills.

• Ability to engage effectively with senior business leaders and project stakeholders.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice to Have:

• SAP TM Certification.

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Transportation Management.

• Previous experience on large-scale Oil & Gas transformation programs.

• Experience within GCC-based projects and organizations.

• Knowledge of transportation compliance and supply chain optimization within the energy sector.
