RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive quality assurance strategy, including test planning, test case development, and test execution, to ensure the highest levels of software quality.
  • Lead a team of quality assurance testers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support throughout the testing lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and project management, to establish testing priorities, scope, and timelines.
  • Define and implement best practices and standardized processes for test planning, execution, and defect management.
  • Monitor and report on test progress, test coverage, and defect metrics to project stakeholders.
  • Continuously improve the quality assurance process by identifying areas for enhancement, implementing process improvements, and adopting new testing methodologies.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software quality assurance.


REQUIREMENTS

Must have’s:

  • Project/Product management/delivery experience

(Lead and manage a QA people working in projects effectively with task assignment and responsibility distribution and support throughout the testing lifecycle.)

  • Test strategy, Test plan & effort estimation knowledge

(Developing a comprehensive QA strategy that outlines test planning, execution, and defect management to ensure software quality.)

  • Collaboration and Communication

(Strong collaboration skills to work closely with cross-functional teams (development, product management, project management) and effectively communicate testing priorities, scope, and progress.)

  • Problem-Solving and Root Cause Analysis

(The capacity to identify testing challenges, make informed decisions, and implement solutions to improve the testing process.)

  • Testing Methodologies and Tools

(Proficiency in various testing methodologies (e.g., manual, automated, performance, security) and familiarity with testing tools is crucial for efficient and effective testing.)

(While not always mandatory, having a good understanding of the industry domain or the specific software being tested can help the Test Manager better grasp the context and potential risks.)

  • Process Improvement
