Clinical Data Scientist
Our Client is looking for a highly skilled Clinical Data Scientist to join us as a full-time consultant. This is a hands-on, high-impact role at the intersection of clinical science, data engineering, and advanced analytics—helping shape clinical strategy and trial design through rigorous, real-world insights.
You’ll work closely with clinical subject matter experts, biostatisticians, data scientists, medical experts, and engineers to turn complex clinical datasets into clear, actionable decisions that directly influence product and clinical outcomes.
About the role
As a Clinical Data Scientist at FounData, you will bridge clinical understanding with advanced analytics and scalable data engineering. You’ll operate across clinical trial and real-world datasets (EHR, registries, claims), building robust analytical workflows and delivering insights that guide strategic decisions.
This is a role for someone who enjoys solving ambiguous problems, working with imperfect data, and turning complexity into clarity—fast.
What you’ll do
Run exploratory and confirmatory analyses on clinical trial and real-world data to support clinical strategy and trial design
Design robust analysis plans and translate results into clear, actionable recommendations for clinical and product stakeholders
Rapidly prototype MVP analytics and workflows using agile and DevOps-inspired approaches
Define cohorts, build subpopulation analyses, and implement strong QA checks on derived datasets and outcomes
Ensure clinical concepts are accurately represented across data models, including CDISC SDTM/ADaM, OMOP, and HL7 standards
Develop reproducible, production-quality code in Python, R, and SQL, collaborating with engineering teams to scale solutions on platforms like Databricks
Communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, tailoring storytelling to the audience.
What you bring
3–5 years of experience working with clinical trial and/or real-world healthcare datasets (EHRs, registries, claims)
Strong hands-on expertise in Python, R, and SQL with production-quality coding practices
Experience with statistical modelling, machine learning, and/or deep learning applied to healthcare data
Deep familiarity with clinical data standards such as CDISC (SDTM, ADaM), OMOP, and HL7
Experience with clinical data mapping, cohort design, and subpopulation/stratified analysis
Strong QA mindset for validating analytical outputs and derived datasets
Comfort working with messy, heterogeneous healthcare data while still delivering high-quality, timely insights
Experience using GitHub and scalable analytics platforms such as Databricks
Strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and analytical rigor
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex findings into clear narratives
This is a consulting role with significant autonomy, ownership, and visibility across clinical and technical teams.
