RESPONSIBILITIES:

As an API Developer you will be responsible for creating and maintaining APIs that integrate with various Azure Data Products, such as Azure Purview, Azure Data Lake Storage, Cosmos DB etc. You will play a key role in enabling smooth data flow and automation within our Semantic Layer ecosystem.

Additionally your responsibilities will be:

• Designing and developing RESTful APIs using best practices and industry standards
• Utilizing Azure Data Products APIs and SDKs to interact with different data sources and services
• Implementing data transformations and validations within the APIs, as well as security measures such as authentication and encryption
• Optimizing API performance for scalability and reliability
• Monitoring API usage and performance, creating comprehensive documentation, and conducting testing to ensure functionality and reliability

REQUIREMENTS:

• Educational degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar field, and related accreditations would be a plus
• 3+ years of experience as an API Developer, working on Azure Data Products
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles, patterns and best practices
• Proficient in Python or another language commonly used for API development (e.g., Java, C#)
• Deep knowledge of Data governance and lineage (in any cloud framework) and how it interacts with APIs
