The Team
Elanco is looking to build a Technology team, focusing on Infrastructure, where none currently exists and looking to take the opportunity to think differently, build for the future and leverage modern technologies, services and processes across all areas of infrastructure. Internally, we like to describe ETS as a ‘start-up within an enterprise’!

Responsibilities:
 
  • Building automation solutions to improve our infrastructure operations, enabling to run a lean organisation and automate as much as possible
  • Designing new solutions to complex problems
  • Executing defined work packages
  • Writing to ensure our solutions are well documented and simple to understand
  • Running handover activities with Operations teams
  • Building enhancements and fixes where necessary
  • Working in an Agile team, attending typical ceremonies 
  • Ensuring the delivered solution meets not just technical, architecture and application principles, but also is compliant to our IT Security, Privacy and Quality needs
  • Running deep dive initiatives to help overcome major incidents, complex problems and/or realize opportunities
 
Core Skills
 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or commensurate industry experience
  • At least 2 years’ experience in design, developing and implementation of cloud automation solutions
  • Strong experience in VMware platform
  • Hands-on scripting capabilities (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
  • Experience with Ansible automation
  • Experience with various cloud platforms (e.g. PaaS, IaaS, FaaS, on-premise, off-premise)
  • Proven knowledge of network services
  • Understanding DevOps lifecycle processes and supporting tools
  • Experience working in an Agile team
  • Strong communication skills with multiple examples of being able to convey complex ideas in a manner that resulted in a definitive direction and result
  • Strong personal & work organisational skills
 
Nice to Have Skills
 
  • Experience in designing and building technical solutions
  • Experience within an infrastructure operations environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud
  • Experience with git (e.g. using tools such as GitHub)
  • Familiar with Kubernetes container-orchestration
  • Familiar with VMWare NXS-T solution
  • Strong passion about new technologies, new ideas and creative way of thinking
