Looking to join a high growth, fun start-up where you can have a huge impact?
We are looking for a proven Drupal developer to build websites providing world-class user experience for the visitors. You will be working alongside a team of other developers in creating, maintaining, and updating our websites: Egnyte’s corporate website and other customer-facing web properties like Egnyte University, Egnyte HelpDesk & Egnyte Exchange. Your goal will be to help drive engagement and interest. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches their work with enthusiasm and determination.
Day to day work
- You will work alongside our international cross-functional team of Designers, Content Creators, Developers, SEO and QA to own all aspects of our marketing website and other customer-facing web properties
- Develop and maintain the Acquia-powered Drupal CMS for our marketing website – https://www.egnyte.com
- Continuously deliver improvements and new features to our websites
- Gather requirements for new pages and determine which components will best serve the content and overall experience
- Assist with website administration, including updating Drupal core and contributed modules on development, staging and production environments
- Provide development support by coding templates for landing pages and emails hosted in Marketo
About you
- Experience in Drupal application development and testing, with 1+ years' SDLC implementation experience
- Experience in Drupal 8 site building and theme development using Drupal-adjunct technologies such as the LAMP platform, Twig, HTML5, CSS/CSS3, jQuery, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with JavaScript build and automation tools – Gulp
- Experience developing responsive and mobile-optimized websites, views and block management, Composer and Drush, relational databases – MySQL
- Ability to work effectively in the command line interface or GUI Tool – Git, GitLab, SSH & FTP
- Experience with advanced site-building tools in Drupal 8 such as Views, search (Solr or equivalent), Drupal APIs
- Ability to evaluate and select Drupal modules for desired functionality based on release and maintenance status, community dedication and usage, security issues, and availability of documentation
- Working experience with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
- Understanding of the SDLC (e.g. Requirements, Design, Development, Testing) and website development best practices (specifically related to Drupal)
- Experience with modern web development best practices for speed
- Basic knowledge of SEO best-practices
- Keen attention to detail with strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally
Bonus points if you have
- Previous experience working directly with (or as part of) a marketing team
- Experience in using Acquia tools and solutions (Acquia Dev Desktop, Acquia Cloud, Acquia Lift)
- Familiarity with Drupal 8 configuration management, including config-split, Multisite Drupal implementations, experience developing custom Drupal modules
