The opportunity:

Currently, we have over 9 security engineers in Poland and are still increasing the size of our Security team driven by growing business demands and opportunities. 

To support this goal, we’re looking for a Senior Product Security Manager who will be instrumental in developing our security engineering excellence by working with our tech leads to establish a long-term very-technical strategy and help our security engineers grow in their roles.

As a Senior Product Security Manager, you will be reporting to the Sr Technical Director of Security, enjoying significant autonomy regarding the way you manage your work. 

We are looking for an experienced security engineer who pivoted their career into a people management role while remaining a strong technical contributor. The ideal candidate has experience with managing teams of 10 or larger, has 5+ years of experience as an individual contributor in the security role at a modern product company. Your role will be to ensure engineers are working on the right things at all times and deliver top-notch quality of their work, spending significant amounts of time on research and continuous improvements of the daily work. 

Your day-to-day at Egnyte:

• Effectively communicate the roadmap, process improvements and advocate for security working with a wide range of product and engineering stakeholders
• Drive innovation advancing our team’s productivity and effectiveness
• Be a partner in technical discussions within and outside the security team, knowing when to challenge and when to step back and let the team be autonomous
• Coach your engineers to advance their careers and enable them to perform at their best at all times
• Run daily standups and weekly planning sessions
• Run refinement sessions
• Plan work on a quarterly basis
• Be on the constant lookout for Security Champions across the organization

About you:

• 2+ years of experience in people manager preferably within a software product company, managing a team of 10+ people including Team/Tech Leads and Individual Contributors
• 5+ years of experience as an Individual Contributor in the security and/or software engineering area. Preferably Application/Product Security Engineer
• Practical experience in driving a long-term technical strategy aligned with a product roadmap
• Fantastic communication skills, experience with explaining complex risk items and ability to resolve conflicts 
• Very good written and spoken English
