To make that happen, we need engineers who are able to identify bottlenecks and improvement areas in our platform. Currently, we’re looking for an experienced Performance Engineer to join our team in Poznań.
The opportunity:
It’s an excellent position for someone who owns their work, from start to finish. As a Performance Engineer, you will be part of the process from designing through testing to the deployment. We’re looking for someone who will be able to find root causes of bottlenecks, solve performance issues, and promote performance engineering culture at Egnyte. Our platform is very diverse, so a one-size-fits-all approach won’t be effective here. If you’re excited about technical challenges and designing various benchmarks for services operating at scale, this role might be a great fit for you.
Things you will do on a daily basis:
- Define, develop, and perform performance/scalability testing for Egnyte’s products leveraging appropriate tools or building them
- Working closely with Product Managers and Architects, you’ll define, design, and implement benchmarks to generate metrics providing insights about system characteristics
- Identify key bottlenecks and find ways of eliminating them
- Share informative and actionable performance reports with the team
- Monitor and manage 3,000+ nodes using modern DevOps tools and APM solutions
- Proactively conduct performance and exception analysis
About you:
- 2+ years of proven performance engineering and benchmarking experience with a background in software development, DevOps or QA Engineering
- Experience developing applications using Java or Python
- Experience with Performance, Load, Stress, End-to-End testing of high transnational distributed applications
- Knowledge of building and utilizing in-house or industry-standard performance test automation infrastructure, using tools like JMeter, BlazeMeter, Taurus, LoadRunner or NeoLoad
Bonus qualifications:
- Experience with optimizing web, mobile, and desktop apps
- Being comfortable in Unix/Linux environments in terms of both tools and systems administration
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools
- Experience with public cloud services
