Egnyte is a product-focused company, not a software outsourcing business. We build and maintain our flagship software: a secure content platform called Egnyte, used by companies like Red Bull and Yamaha. With 200+ people working in our Poznań office, we remain a people-first workplace.

Currently, we are looking for a Junior Site Reliability Engineer to join our team in Poznan. Our Candidate needs to have initiative and curiosity, and the desire to learn. The ideal candidate will be tech-savvy with a strong focus on maintaining availability and resilience of backend services.

Your day-to-day at Egnyte
  • Maintain and monitor our environments in a 24/7 rotation system
  • Improve our monitoring systems, identify repetitive tasks
  • Cooperate with international teams
  • Identify performance challenges
  • Document and communicate progress on resolving issues

Your skills
  • Working knowledge of Linux and networking
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (preferable Icinga, Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, OpentsDB)
  • Basic knowledge of both self-hosted and cloud environments (preferably the Google Cloud Platform)
  • Basic coding experience in Python/Golang/Perl/Ruby
  • Troubleshooting mindset to hunt down the root causes of issues and persistence in preventing them from happening again
  • Ability to work effectively in a globally distributed team structure
  • Good English skills (B2) to effectively communicate about technical matters
  • Desire to learn

Nice to have
  • Experience in an SRE/SysAdmin/DevOps/NOC, software development, or equivalent role
  • Incident management skills: must be able to own, cooperate  and resolve large scale incidents under time pressure
  • Experience handling large numbers of diverse systems with configuration management systems like Puppet, Ansible, Terraform
  • Experience using CI/CD tools
  • Operational knowledge of the ELK stack
