Analytics Global Delivery Poland, a large, growing delivery center located in Warsaw, offers high-quality Applications/Platforms Development and Management Services to DXC customers all over the world. The Center’s portfolio covers the full software lifecycle, including Business and Systems Analysis, Development, Quality Assurance, Project Management, Testing and Support. The main technology focus is on Cloud, Big Data, Business Intelligence, Web and mobile solutions, ERP and CRM systems. DXC invests in multiple certifications for its employees, both technical (eg. Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP, Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, SAP), and managerial (PMP, ITIL).

We are currently looking for

SQL Server Database Administrator

2-3 years of experience

Job location: Warsaw or remote

Job description:

• End-to-end database administration.
• Setup database accounts for applications and migrate applications or changes between environments.
• Backup, restore and patch database
• Proactive database monitoring, deep investigations and trouble-shooting.
• Provide support to projects developing new applications or changes to existing applications.
• Large scale deployments, automation and configuration management.

Skills:

• SQL Server Database Administration skills (SQL Server 2016 and above)
• Strong verbal and written English
• Ability to communicate with client clearly and concisely on technical, non-technical, and project levels and participate in client-facing meetings.
• Ability to follow client Change Management processes
• BSc/ MSc degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent or in the process of studying

Nice to have:

• Scripting skills (Windows, SQL Server) to create and maintain database related scripts
• Ability to review and analyze database performance tuning reports and metrics, identify root cause of performance issues, propose and implement solutions to resolve
• Readiness for on-call night support
• Certifications confirming gained skills
• Azure or other cloud experience
