The Role
Your job is to build out and expand this award-winning technology platform. You will be:
- Able and keen to learn new technologies
- Happy to work in a highly collaborative environment
- Happy to perform code reviews and have your code reviewed by your peers
- Familiar with delivery of software using Agile methodologies
- Unintimidated by a complex technology stack, including JavaScript, Ruby and Java
Main Areas of Responsibility
- Deliver features that enhance our product, across all areas of the technology stack
- Together with the team, deliver all aspects of functionality, quality and performance
- Code review your peers’ contributions
Requirements
- Working knowledge of JavaScript
- Experience of at least one dynamically typed language (e.g. Ruby or Python)
- Familiarity with at least one web framework (e.g. Ruby on Rails)
- Well versed in delivering software using Agile methodologies
- Used to employing version control (such as git) for your code
- Confident command of SQL and/or relational database concepts
Beneficial
- Comfortable with a flavour of Linux OS
- 2-4 years of commercial experience in at least one OO language (e.g. Java)
