Digiteum is looking for a Senior .NET Engineer. The client is an industry leading sports-tech company. They specialise in the collection, storage, analytics, distribution and display of professional sport data. Their core focus is around building well-designed cloud-based Sport Data Platforms and connected display and distribution systems.This includes high performing UX products and services utilised by all levels of professional sport including governing bodies, professional sporting teams and coaches, broadcast, print and radio media services and online service providers. They do this all with the latest technology to ensure everything we do is not only fresh, but also rewarding and exciting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with members of the Platform and Development team to implement cloud-based solutions for the company, focusing on the development of Sport Data Platforms and their associated products and services.
- Work in an Agile team, where iterative experimentation and data driven decisions with products and services are valued.
- Follow established best practices and strategies regarding application development and deployment focusing on minimising cost and risk while offering the highest quality service.
- Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, while maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful design.
- Ensure development effort is aligned with agreed priorities.
- Confer and assist team members and other developers on problems, improvements and modifications to system software and projects.
- Adopt developer-driven testing methodologies to improve software quality and reduce operational cost and risk.
- Ensure the highest quality in-code and out of code documentation to ensure cross-developer alignment and understanding.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a software developer utilizing .Net Core, and C#.
- Working knowledge of AWS or other cloud platforms is highly regarded.
- Working knowledge of ReactJS/web frontend is a bonus.
- Experience working in an Agile team.
- Experience with CD/CI pipelines including GIT code repositories and workflows.
- Good written and oral communication in English: upper-intermediate or higher.
- Strong conceptual, critical thinking and analytical skills – demonstrating outside-the-box problem solving skills.
- Aware of what’s going on outside their world; communicating regularly with team members and willing to get involved with others to overcome technical and development challenges.
- Knowledge driven. A passion for learning and improving your experience in software development.
- Maintain a conscious and respectful stance in respect to customer needs, checking in with them regularly and considering the positive and negative impact your work has on them.
