Develocraft is looking for MS SQL Database Administrator for one of our international clients who provide hybrid IT solutions.

Responsibilities:

Administration and troubleshooting of database/server issues
Ensuring clients & partners are updated on the current status of issues.
Applying database patches.
Providing support to the client’s databases and maintaining high availability through proactive measures.
Planning and maintenance of client's database systems.
Documentation of procedures and knowledge-base articles.
Documentation of troubleshooting carried out (including root cause analysis etc).
Configuring backups for clients.
Resolving complex technical issues escalated by other internal departments.
On-call duties
Managing successful client solution projects.
Reviewing and updating backup procedures for databases.

Qualifications:

Fluent English.
Strong experience in SQL Server 2008/2008R2/2012/2014/2016 Database Administration.
Experience in creating jobs, Database mail, Alerts, and Maintenance plans in a production environment.
Minimum of 2 years of related industry experience in the areas of technical support and administration of MSSQL databases.
Knowledge in a scripting language such as PowerShell desirable.
Strong knowledge of index management, integrity checks, statistics, configuration, and patching.
Strong knowledge of backups, restores, recovery, shrink operations.
Experience in performance tuning, Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler, and related tools.
Able to detect and troubleshoot CPU, memory, I/O, disk and resource contention issues.
Knowledge/experience of ITIL standards desirable.
