Solutions Engineering Manager
Objective of the Role:
In this key role, reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will consult, facilitate and manage Client project and solution implementations: develop and manage project plans, define and plan individual project deliverables as a part of the overall program, manage stakeholders expectations and all project relationships.
As Solutions Engineering Manager, your main goal is to architect manageable and maintainable cloud-based solutions linking various client’s systems and marketing and analytical data sources that will provide answers to business problems. You will join a combination of challenging ad tech data integration projects and energize our growing team’s technical leadership.
As Engineering Manager, you will manage project teams in delivering complex integration projects, communicate and manage weekly and daily tasks and activities to implementation teams, and provide performance feedback to team members and higher management as appropriate. One of your primary responsibilities will be to build and coach a team of high-performing Data Engineers in delivering cloud-based marketing solutions and providing long-life support and maintenance. You will also collaborate with Data Science, Web Analytics, and Media Management teams to ensure effective solutions architecture and seamless deployment.
Principal Duties:
- Lead, coach, and build a team of high performing Data Engineers focused on the delivery of complex cloud-based (Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure) marketing solutions:
- scalable, highly performing cloud-based solutions for integrating a variety of raw data sources, serving as a solid foundation for data loading and transformation problems;
- batch & real-time data integration solutions, ETL processes, automated workflows that ingest data from both internal databases and external sources to manipulate, map, and feed them into data models and activation platforms.
- Design, implement and maintain an efficient data engineering delivery process.
- Implement industry’s best data governance practices for collecting, transforming, and accessing data. Deliver data integration and synchronization solutions that ensure robust data structures and uncover meaningful insights.
- Efficiently manage multiple priorities of internal and external projects, allocate team efforts and track their utilization. Prioritize backlog items for the team, balancing business goals and capacity.
- Efficiently manage project resources and workflow: project plan/scope/budget/resource management, time management (activities & task planning), communications.
- Document and maintain project requirements: development of implementation plans, document requirements and project architectures. Maintain and upkeep internal knowledge base and other relevant information.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 4+ years experience developing / architecting / managing high volume cloud solutions (GCP preferred, but AWS/Azure acceptable)
- Strong project management skills with small/medium teams and experience working with Client-embedded technology integration projects
- Knowledge of programming languages: Python (preferred) or Java, bash scripting
- Demonstrated leadership and attention to detail with projects developed using cloud environments and architectures, including PaaS and SaaS systems integration and implementation.
- Experience in data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and data architectures
- Extensive experience with SQL, ETL, ELT, and data transformation techniques and patterns
- Working experience with workflow automation, Airflow (preferred) and Data Factory
- Excellent communicability and “soft” skills for leading clients and the technical team through the delivery of integration projects.
- Ability to coach, mentor and train personnel within a technical organization.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with the Digital Marketing / Analytics domain
- Interest in the Big Data ecosystem and frameworks (Apache Beam, Spark, Pub/Sub)
- Experience in architecting and designing solutions utilizing BigQuery/RedShift/Azure Analytical Services, Cloud SQL/RDS, would be a strong plus.
- Knowledge of foundational cloud principles and concepts, e.g. Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Kubernetes, Scaling, Logging and Monitoring, Identity and Access Management
- Passion for leveraging optimal data structures and processes to support decision making, cloud compute cost optimization.

Salary range for this position is 15 000 - 25 000 PLN gross (B2B or employment contract) plus a bonus potential and is based on prior experience and qualifications.
