We are looking for an experienced Senior Kafka Engineer on behalf of our client — a leading and well-respected company in the payment industry. The main task will be migrating Kafka clusters from Cardinal Data Centers . Experience on cross data center replication required.

Kafka Engineer will need experience with the following activities:

• Architecting Business requirements into Kafka changes

• Evaluating requirements

• Formulating changes

• Kafka Modelling & Design

• Capacity planning

• Workload assessment (all Kafka tech)

• Creating new topics

• Executing Kafka changes as per release requirements

• Kafka Access Management

• Creating Kafka streams for App Support

• Kafka performance testing

• Reviewing, discussing, approving Kafka changes (PRs)

• Debugging issues following releases

• Collecting Kafka Analysis and reports

• Data cleansing, purging, archiving, TTL

• Kafka tuning

• Kafka incident resolution and service restoration

• Kafka monitoring requirements

• Kafka monitoring implementation

• Kafka Auditing

• Application Workload Management

• Kafka infrastructure (current & new)

• Kafka recovery and DR scenarios

• Kafka improvements (performance, availability)

• Security remediation
