About the project:
Your major responsibility will be to manage a group of Junior Java Developers. You should have technical background but mostly minimum one year of experience in people management.
Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day BAU management including work allocation/ supervising queue management (Apex)/ supervising responsiveness/ Incident management etc.
- Ensure and maintain visibility of entire bandwidth availability and resource utilization (current and planned) especially on Content Enhancement Projects
- Coaching of team members on site as well as remotely on a regular basis
- Analyze team results to generate visibility about team’s performance as well as changes therein through process initiatives
- Liaise with other technology teams to identify and explore new technologies and improvements in current technical processes
- Collaborate and engage individuals from the team into areas involving Platform level enhancements and also be accountable to review infrastructure level design changes on behalf of Content
- Engage with members of the team to embed industry level best practices for software development and bug fix processes
- Work towards defining a roadmap leading to operational excellence
- Identify Change Management and Release Management opportunities and ensure adequate preparation and participation from the Team
- Represent Content Team in Technology Forums and lead strategic technology projects including Database migration; Technology Modernization on behalf of Content
- Research on third party platforms/tools/ solutions which can be utilized and leveraged by the teams
- Provide mentorship and guidance to Developers in the team to facilitate skill enhancement
Requirements:
- At least 1-2 years of proven People Management Experience
- Customer Centricity and Delivery focussed
- Experience in JAVA/J2EE technologies
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle & related infrastructure: issue tracking, version control, continuous integration
- Knowledge of English at the B2 level
- Experience of working with teams/ stakeholders in multiple locations on a day-to-day basis
- Proven ability to work with contesting priorities and succeed
- Experience of Software debugging
- Proven ability to drive complex projects
