Medium Data Engineer

• Build and enhance innovative data solutions using Python Pandas and PySpark, in the cloud
• Support existing analytics solutions, across incident management, handling service requests and continuous monitoring & enhancement
• Work with a mix of public cloud services, from a core of Python Pandas and PySpark in Azure (Databricks), to support and enhance best-in-class technologies to meet our client's needs
• Shape the development and rollout of cutting edge analytics programmes, providing technical expertise and leadership skills
• Develop and deploy automated code pipelines, from data acquisition through cleaning and preparing data for modelling, through to visualisation
• Work closely with great programme teams, as “one team” between our London-based and nearshore team
• Identify ways to improve data reliability, processing efficiency and quality of our data output
• Produce detailed documentation and champion code quality
• Interrogate rich data sources such as social, search, surveys, reviews, clickstream, sales, connected devices and beyond

• Strong Python (Pandas) and other programming skills
• English min. B2/ C1 - fluent communication
• 3+ years professional experience developing data solutions in cloud environments such as Azure, AWS or GCP – Azure Databricks a bonus
• Experience of software development, CI/CD pipelines and/or other DevOps practices and principles

• Experience connecting to third party APIs and/or internal data systems
• Some exposure to big data technologies (Spark/PySpark and Snowflake desirable, etc.)
• Experience as a Solution/ Data Architect
