We are the leading Decentralized Science (DeSci) project using blockchain for consent and data access management. We have built a platform where researchers can publish their trials and healthcare providers can be rewarded for referring patients.

We work in an international, remote-friendly team. As a team member, you may also be eligible for an allocation of our token (LAKE token), which grew in value more than 10x over past months. 

In Data Lake, you are going to have an exposure to blockchain technology, health data structuring and analysis, application development as well as web3 and healthcare industry.

What will be your daily tasks?

👉 At the beginning, 60% of your time will be spent on development tasks while 40% will be dedicated to code review, testing and QA. This may however change over time

👉 Taking on implementations of new features and improvements

👉 Our dream candidate will be able to find the bugs and inefficiencies in the code and fix them herself / himself 

👉 Carrying out automated tests (BE), unit tests, manual tests (BE using Postman, FE on the review environment), stress tests, load tests 

👉 Reporting bugs in Jira. If possible, suggesting a solution 

👉 Ability to suggest basic UX improvements and describe them properly

👉 Creating technical product documentation and keeping it up to date 

👉 Assuring quality of code that is being shipped

Our requirements:

👉 Minimum 1+ year of experience in TypeScript / JavaScript

👉 Experience in working with React (for FrontEnd) or Node (for Backend),

👉 Good knowledge of testing (automated / unit / manual / stress / load tests with Postman, Newman, K6)

👉 Hands-on experience with Git,

👉 Excellent written and spoken English skills

👉 Experience with code review process

👉 Experience of creating technical documentation

👉 Experience of working in small teams

👉 Good problem solving skills

👉 Good communication skills

👉 Tolerance for crappy jokes

Nice to Have:

- Blockchain / Web3 experience

- Good understanding of UX principles

DO NOT apply, if:

• You’ve spent all your professional life in a bigger corporation and you loved it 
• You’ve always been a junior team member in a bigger team, hence had no real responsibility
• You don’t have at least 1 year professional experience as a developer 
• Being responsible for the QA of the application stresses you out 
• You don’t know what we do and you don’t care about it 
• You are looking for a second or third job on the side 
• You have a history of giving up when it gets tough 

What do we offer?

👉 Competitive salary with potentially unlimited upside. Our offer (depending on your experience) is typically 1700- 3000 USD a month, with an individual compensation package negotiated depending on your experience and commitment. You may also be eligible for a compensation package in the $LAKE token.
