For our Client working in the finance industry, we’re looking for Junior Operational Risk Analyst in Cracow to join the Risk Analytics and Modelling team. The team is responsible for modelling and analytic controls covering design, development, implementation, running, optimisation and validation. They provide analytics to identify risks, trends, management information, forecasts, and recommend model improvements or control amendments to address internal or external findings. Activities may support regulatory and non-regulatory purposes.

Project scope/domain:
- Execute the Operational Risk Capital model, as part of the wider team, utilizing right-first-time principles
- Take active responsibility for continuous development of the model by identifying improvements, presenting solutions and implementing agreed change
- Drive quality of outputs and maintaining stakeholder confidence by taking personal accountability for accuracy and quality of work
- Live the values of the team and contribute to fostering a no-blame culture by identifying, escalating and resolving any issues that occur
- Participate in team retrospectives and contribute to the development of others
- Adhere to all group and local policies

Competence demands:
- Undergraduate or graduate studies in Quantitative Finance or related discipline (Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or the like)
- Programming experience in Python, Matlab or R
- Ability to apply a balanced approach to problem solving, bringing both academic rigor and pragmatism
- Ability to gather complex requirements and execute instructions under time constraints
- Ability to work with high degrees of precision while understanding the bigger picture
- Ability to work collaboratively with multinational and multi-disciplinary teams
- High degree of drive and motivation to ensure delivery of objectives in a timely, efficient and effective manner
- Some experience in the financial/banking industry desirable
- Fluency in English both spoken and written
