Job description

This job is about working closely with Product Management to implement functionalities and features according to roadmap requirements. The development activities are mainly around optimised and innovative IoT Hardware for the 5G Suite of Industrial IoT Solutions.

Need to have

Experience in working with Altium Designer
Previous experience and portfolio working with PCBs 4-8 layers
Strong understanding of analysing requirements, datasheets, and designing electronics to meet requirements
Ability to prototype & unit-test hardware designs
Experience with high-speed design --- USB 3.x, PCIe, DDR

Nice to have

Antenna design experience
Understanding of CE compliance EMI/EMC best practices
Experience in working with Nordic Semiconductor MCUs and SiPs
Experience with Quectel/Qualcomm cellular chipsets
Experience with Semtech LoRa transcievers
Basic understanding of the Linux Kernel and designing systems with Linux compatibility in mind
Experience with ultra-low-power design and optimisation for quiescent power consumption
Understanding of the IoT connectivity and software ecosystem

Responsibilities

Responsibility of product design lifecycle --- from analysing requirements, component selection, prototyping, design, and testing process
Working closely with the embedded software team to ensure hardware compatibility
Working closely with the 3D design team alongside the hardware development process
Working with logistics team for sourcing components, and answering technical questions from PCB manufacturers and assemblers
Competitive analysis and improving the requirement set to extend the operating lifecycle of the product
Ensuring IoT hardware reliability for long-term unattended usage in the field
