Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance web applications using CSS (with a focus on SASS), JavaScript, and HTML, ensuring high performance, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Lead the integration and adaptation of large, complex design systems into web development projects, ensuring consistency and coherence across all digital interfaces while accommodating specific requirements of the banking industry.
• Engage in the design process with UI/UX designers, providing technical insights on feasibility and suggesting enhancements to elevate the user experience (Figma, Zeplin)
• Proactively maintain and refine existing web applications, resolving issues, integrating new features and continually enhancing user engagement and satisfaction.
• Ensure strict adherence to web accessibility standards and principles, making web content accessible to users with diverse abilities.
• Work within an agile development environment, using tools such as Scrum and Jira.
• Contribute to the creation and upkeep of comprehensive documentation on front-end development practices, standards, and guidelines, aiding in the seamless onboarding of new team members and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in HTML, proven expertise in CSS Styling with an in-depth understanding of the SASS preprocessor and JavaScript
• Basic to intermediate proficiency in JavaScript with a working knowledge of the React framework.
• Demonstrated experience in implementing complex design systems within web projects, showcasing the ability to maintain consistency across various components and platforms while adhering to established brand guidelines and design tokens.
• Demonstrated ability to work closely with UI/UX design teams, providing technical feedback and ensuring the technical feasibility of designs
• Proficient in working within agile development environments, utilizing Scrum and Jira.
• Thorough understanding of responsive web design (RWD) principles and best practices.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
